Big things are happening for Mike Phillips in 2022. This year the celebrated saxophonist will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the release of his classic debut album You Have Reached Mike Phillips. Back in February, it was announced that he created a new jazz label named Keep It Moving Music (or KIMM for short) in partnership with SRG-ILS Group. Phillips now gives fans a sample of what to expect from his label with his new single "City Lights."

Mike Philly is in his jazz bag on "City Lights." The song was written by Claude Villani, who is the CEO of SRG-ILS Group and himself a musician, over 40 years ago, and Phillips literally breathed life into it alongside producer Hamilton Hardin. "City Lights" showcases Mike's virtuosic saxophone playing over percussion and guitar on the melodic bop.
