Kendrick Lamar may have an early lock on Hip-Hop Song Of The Summer with his infectious diss track “Not Like Us,” but on the R&B side of the coin, Kehlani has a serious contender with their jam “After Hours.” The song hits on all cylinders with a dance floor-filling sample – of Nina Sky’s 2004 single “Move Ya Body” – that slaps and flirty, sexy, cool lyrics. For the “After Hours” video, Kehlani brings the hot and sweaty energy of the song to life on location in Las Vegas.

Director Amber Park transports viewers to the luxurious Fontainebleau Las Vegas where the entire visual was filmed. After a quick intro with some slick graphics, we watch Kehlani and a few fly friends strut into the resort and across the lobby. The scene then switches to the singer rocking their second of many fierce looks posted up in a bar with more of their people. This is where the party pops off, and Kehlani and company proceed to get and dance for their lives.

Kehlani and the dancers bust a move and break out into choreography all over the resort. They turn the hallways, the pool, an elevator and a penthouse suite into their dance floor wherever they go. Lani also turns the visual into an opprtunity to experiment with different hairstyles and fashions, and look as fine as ever in each one as they party the night away.

Will Kehlani take the R&B Song Of The Summer crown? It’s a little too soon to tell, but they definitely have us open this spring and ready to be outside this summer – preferably partying at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Watch Kehlani and her crew get it in when you press play below.
