Festival season is starting soon, and if you plan to be outside this year, the 2024 Roots Picnic needs to be on your radar. For its latest edition, Roots Picnic is coming in hot with an impressive lineup of artists to kick off Black Music Month in a major way in Philadelphia at The Mann in Fairmount Park on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd.

Philly’s own neo-soul goddess Jill Scott is one of this year’s headliners, and it’s practically guaranteed that she’s going to show out in her hometown. Joining her at the bill are hip-hop legend Nas and the masterminds behind this festival, The Roots who will be performing a set in celebration of New Orleans accompanied by Lil Wayne, Trombone Shorty and PJ Morton. Rap royalty André 3000 is also on tap and will come equipped with his flute for a special live presentation of his instrumental album New Blue Sun.
