Fans of soul music royalty Lalah Hathaway are in for a treat this spring. The songstress is giving her Lalaholics numerous chances to see her live in concert come March and April. She’s announced her latest tour, which will be an exclusive engagement with City Winery.
Hathaway will grace the stage at various locations of the popular concert venue and urban winery chain. The first will be City Winery Philadelphia where Lalah will kick things off with a two-night stand on Tuesday, March 26th and Wednesday, March 27th. From there, the tour will keep it moving from the East Coast to the South and end in the Midwest.
After opening in Philly, the next City Winery locations on the roster are Pittsburgh and Nashville in March and Atlanta, New York City, St. Louis and Chicago in April. City Winery Chicago will host Lalah for three nights from Thursday, April 18th through Saturday, April 20th, which will be the final night of the tour.
Lalah Hathaway’s travels may only be taking her to seven cities, but in most of them she’ll perform multiple nights and in each she’ll perform two shows a night. Altogether, the GRAMMY winner will work hard for the money during 28 shows over the course of four weeks. We’re tired just thinking about that rigorous schedule, but if anyone can handle it, Ms. Hathaway can.
