All Black Music Month, we've been treated to a collaboration between Motown Records and COLORS Studios which has seen Motown artists like ELHAE and Ne-Yo performing in front of the familiar vividly colored backdrops. The series caps off with Brandywho confirms her signing to the legendary label by appearing in the series — and a performance of her fan favorite B7 cut "Rather Be."

The singer stepped in front of a regal purple backdrop to sing the song, which she dedicated to all her fans, while looking amazing as she rocked a floral patterned suit and bustier. That vibrance was channeled into her performance as well, with Brandy performing with all the movement and emotion that we've come to know her for in her nearly 30-year career.

The COLORS format doesn't always suit every artist, but the joy and feeling that B-Rocka brings to this simple performance shows why she's been a respected vocalist since she first arrived on the scene.

It's been two years since Brandy released B7 and, with the singer now signed to Motown, it looks like we could be getting some newness from her sooner rather than later. While we sniff out what's next on Brandy's plate, get into her lovely performance of "Rather Be" for COLORS when you press play.
