Trevor Jackson is currently on our screens as he wraps up his hit Freeform series grown-ish. But, as we all know, the multifaceted Mr. Jackson is also never far away from a studio. He’s already hit us with his EP Heads Up, and it seems has more in store, starting with his latest single “He Don’t Know.”

Produced by $K, “He Don’t Know” finds Trevor jumping onto the ever-popular Afrobeats sound with silky, guitar-led production that threads a seductive feel throughout the song’s nearly three-minute runtime. It allows Trevor to spit some smooth game as he details why his sneaky link game is so damn strong.

He’s in full-on Waterbed Trev mode throughout the song, specifying that what his entanglement partner’s man don’t know won’t hurt him. It seems, however, that he might be campaigning to take over the unfortunate fella’s spot soon. “I’ll do what he doesn’t I promise / I’ll float on your waters / Like Captain Barbossa / No tippin’, it’s over,” he confidently sings.

Charisma has always been a selling point for Trevor Jackson, and he’s got it in spades on this number. Whether his intentions are to keep the lady in his sights for just one night or an entire lifetime, we doubt she’ll be able to resist. And you won’t be able to resist putting “He Don’t Know” on repeat once you press play below.
