Kenyon Dixon’s mission to spread the gospel of R&B will soon bring him to a stage near you. After releasing his critically-acclaimed, cleverly-titled album The R&B You Love last September and following it up with the ’70s-themed deluxe EP The R&B You Love: Soul Of The ’70s last month, Dixon is taking The R&B You Love Tour on the road this summer. Not only is Kenyon leading his own tour, the “Lucky” singer has been tapped by PJ Morton to open for him on select dates of his Cape Town To Cairo Tour.
R&B Kenny’s The R&B You Love Tour will originate in Dallas at the first-ever TwoGether Land Festival, where he is scheduled to perform on May 22nd. The tour starts for real on July 2nd in Portland before Kenyon keeps it moving to Houston, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Charlotte, D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, New York City and Los Angeles throughout the month of July.
After Dixon is done headlining, he’ll join PJ Morton’s latest tour as the opener in a handful of cities on the Cape Town To Cairo Tour. He’s incorporated his show dates into The R&B You Love Tour and will share supporting act duties with The Cavemen., a Nigerian highlife duo.
