Case has been rather quiet on the music front in recent years, but that's about to change in 2015. The "Happily Ever After" singer is coming back to the scene with a new album, Heaven's Door, this March and is giving us a preview with new single "Shook Up."
Fans of the singer will be glad to know "Shook Up" places Case firmly in his wheelhouse. It's a smooth R&B jam that finds him head over heels in love with the lady in his life. Over a lilting guitar and finger snaps, the singer lets her know that her love has him all kinds of discombobulated. The track is definitely reminiscent of the singer's work in the '90s and '00s, with heart-on-his-sleeve lyrics and a not-quite-slow-jam vibe that picks up on the joy of being in love and finding the one. While some might consider something so similar to an artist's earlier work a detriment, it's a great re-introduction to his talent and a comfort for fans looking for his classic R&B sound.
"Shook Up" is already getting spins on urban contemporary radio and will soon be available on iTunes while Heaven's Door will arrive on March 31st. While we wait to see what he'll be bringing to the table, check out Case's "Shook Up" right here.
