Joy Ike Offers The Perfect 'Pick Me Up'

Pittsburgh songbird Joy Ike is offering a dose of authenticity on her new song, "Pick Me Up." A song about the chaos of learning to trust, "Pick Me Up" finds Ike vulnerably crooning about reciprocity and what it takes to maintain a relationship. A bit similar to that of Norah Jones and Regina Spektor, Ike's voice commands your attention and whisks you away into a land of driving strings, tumbling drums and percussive piano. Featured on her third album, All Or Nothing, this song is indeed a highlight in the career of this independent songstress, as she takes a new approach and dives into an eccentric blend of pop and soul. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, Joy Ike teamed up with Saul Simon MacWilliams to create All Or Nothing, her strongest body of work yet. All Or Nothing, with its strong moments like "Pick Me Up," "Go," and "Time," is currently available via iTunes and Bandcamp. If you've already fallen in love with Joy Ike, as I have, catch a special clip of her performing a song named "Happy" after the bounce.
