Lady Monáe is making the award-circuit rounds early for what is sure to be banner year for her in terms of nominations. Recently, she stopped by The Recording Academy offices and answered some questions about the positive responses to The ArchAndroid and how she believes she "is musical theatre," among other things. If you've seen her live or any of the documentation of her performances, you know she's right. It's a nice series of short videos of the interview, including some pared down performances of "Sincerely Jane" and "Smile," which are always nice.
