Summer Walker is on a high right now as fans clamor to listen to her recent effort CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE EP, the sequel to her 2019 EP CLEAR. The songstress seems to be basking in that adulation while giving fans more of what they’ve been clamoring for with a visual for standout “Pull Up.”
The song itself is already a fitting example of Summer’s understanding of certain emotions as she tells the story of hooking up with the wrong someone and the complicated feelings that surface because of it. The video goes even further as we see the singer in seeming domestic bliss as she fixes a delicious looking plate of food for her man while wearing a pink satin nightie and matching robe.
However, Summer is soon sneaking out of the house's front door to meet another paramour (played by BMF’s Lil Meech). She’s seen cuddling and canoodling with him in his ride until she brings their rendezvous to an abrupt end to announce they she can’t do the situationship anymore. There’s no drama here, though, as the two part on good terms (and with a feeling that this thing isn’t quite over yet).
Speaking of pulling up, you might want to do so if you happen to live in Atlanta. The singer is set to give a one-night-only performance of her CLEAR EP series at ATL’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. And if you’re doubting that it’ll be one for the books, you should take note that Summer has enlisted Teyana Taylor as creative director for the event. She’s even posted a video to socials showing off Teyana choreographing a number to “Pull Up” that looks completely different from the live performances that Summer has given us before.
This summer might just belong to Summer Walker. Check out the video for “Pull Up” right here and then head below to peep the flyer for her Atlanta performance, which will take place on Thursday, June 1st. If that piques your interest, you can get tickets for the event now via the singer’s website.
