Robin Thicke has a time in Miami in the music video for his Yo Gotti-assisted single “Brown Liquor.” Thicke revisits the song that he released last September and breathes some life into it in this slick clip directed by Logan Anderle Fields.
The director follows Thicke and bronzed beauty Melissa Varon around the sun-drenched city from day well into night. Robin shows her off as they make the entire town their playground among the locals. Yo Gotti joins him on a rooftop to spit his bars before Robin and his lady take their romance to a nightclub.
After the handsome couple makes an entrance, they enjoy a night fueled by passion, music and brown liquor. Thicke’s brown liquor of choice is D’Usse, which has prominent product placement throughout the video, and he makes sure to drink up.
“Brown Liquor” is a song that Robin wrote years ago that he held onto to drop at the right time. The singer-songwriter plans to share more tracks from his vault, including three previously unreleased songs that he recorded over 20 years ago for his debut album A Beautiful World (originally released under the title Cherry Blue Skies).
In an announcement on Instagram, he put fans on notice that there’s “More to come soon,” so be on the lookout for more music from his direction. For the moment, though, take a look at Robin Thicke in the “Brown Liquor” video below.
