Jade Novah is currently doing the damn thing singing backup on the new NBC series That's My Jam, but we absolutely love when the singer is featured front and center in her own work. That's why her single "I Just Wanna Know" can be heard on a regular basis around these parts. To give us even more reason to wear the track out, Jade taps Tarriona "Tank" Ball of Tank And The Bangas to add a little something to the song for its official remix.
Tank comes with the boom at the very beginning of this new version, which starts with her rap couched among the dreamy chords of the opening. "Hi, I'm kinda shy / Plus I got way too high to counteract my stubborn pride," she rhymes. "All jokes aside / Could you be the apple of my eye?" She then alludes to a few grown folk activities as she switches from coy to direct once the liquor and smoke hits her system.
From there, Jade takes over as she treats us to the song in a form mostly unchanged from the original. That is, until we get to the song's bridge. There, she mirrors Tank's rap as she reiterates that she's kinda shy and maybe just a tad insecure. The sentiment is effortlessly smoothed into the pre-existing bridge before the song takes it all the way home and leaves us feeling and falling even more in love with Jade and her talent.
