SoulBounce Exclusive: Marcus Alan Ward Provides A Chill Soundtrack To Summer Lovin' With 'Friends In Love'

After he dropped his single "LoveOutLoud" earlier this year, we knew that Marcus Alan Ward had some kind of musical magic coming our way soon. We weren't wrong. The singer, composer and lyricist is readying his upcoming project Beast to share with the masses next month. But before he does that, he's offering one more track for us to hear with "Friends In Love." And because we love him and you, we're bringing you an exclusive first listen.

"Friends In Love" finds Marcus collaborating with Russian producer Moth Circuit and it's a dreamy match made in heaven. Moth Circuit's electro aesthetics are a perfect match for Marcus distinctive approach to R&B. Soft keys, vocal echoes and scratchy synths create a chill vibe that matches perfectly that conjures up relaxed conversations and intimate moments. Marcus takes us further on the journey with his vocal, which curls like smoke through the song's arrangement as he describes the unique situationship that's budding between him and a friend. "Been twice to paradise / Been whole since you were mine," he sings on the opening verse. "We see third eye to eye / Outside of space and time." We don't know about you, but that's something that we'd love to be caught up in.

"'Friends In Love' is the first collaboration between Moth Circuit and I," Marcus surprisingly revealed to us. "It's a bouncy electro track that's a bit of a different feel for both of us. We had fun." Though it might be their first time working together, we certainly hope it isn't their last as the chemistry between the two is undeniable.
