While Summer ‘16 is quickly coming to a close, the 10th Annual Manifesto Festival of Community & Culture plans to keep the party going just a little bit longer. Starting on Friday, September 9th and ending on Sunday, September 18th, the Toronto-based festival will celebrate the beats, rhyme and life of their local community through various arts and music showcases. The 11-day festival boasts an impressive lineup of guests that includes both local heroes and superstars from south of the border.
On Friday, September 16th, BJ the Chicago Kid will take the stage to move the crowd, while Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals and Kaytranada will perform on Saturday, September 17th. In addition to the headlining musical guests, the Manifesto Festival will celebrate Toronto’s diverse local musicians and artists. A who’s who of the hip-hop and the local cultural scene, including producer Boi-1da and Director X, will be in attendance hosting parties and engaging in forums and panel discussions.
Founded in 2007, the Manifesto Community & Culture Festival is one of Canada’s biggest celebrations of hip-hop culture. More than just a festival, Manifesto aims to have a positive social and economic impact on Toronto, putting locals artists on the map and uniting communities of young people year-round.
