Victoria Monét moved the crowd at last year’s Sol Blume music festival in her hometown of Sacramento and went viral with a dance challenge that evolved from her performance. With all the excitement surrounding her, it almost made us forget that she hadn’t released a new single since August 2021 when she dropped “Coastin’.” Monét has been promising that new music is on the way, and she delivered a gift to fans on Valentine’s Day in the form of a duet version of “We Might Even Be Falling In Love (Interlude)” with Bryson Tiller for Spotify Singles.
The steamy interlude from Victoria’s debut album JAGUAR was one of those interludes that you wish was a longer song. Monét grants that wish and extends our pleasure on “We Might Even Be Falling In Love (Duet).” The addendum to the song only adds about 40 more seconds to the track, but we’ll take it.
The entire original interlude is included with Bryson adding a verse, which basically repeats Victoria’s verse with a few words changed in response to her sexy requests. He matches her energy and brings a confident swagger to the table – or in this case, the bedroom – as they both talk their ish and end in a harmonious union.
With the release of this version of “We Might Be Falling In Love,” the JAGUAR era officially comes to a beautiful conclusion. Don’t be too sad, though. Victoria Monét is ready to unleash its follow-up JAGUAR II, and we're ready to receive it. She’s still working on the project, so there’s no release date yet, but we’ve got our fingers crossed that we’ll get to indulge in it sometime this year.
Valentine’s Day may have passed, but slow jams are forever and this is one that you need in your love life. Listen to Victoria Monét and Bryson Tiller’s “We Might Even Be Falling In Love (Duet)” right here, and add it to your playlists exclusively on Spotify.
