Somebody ring the alarm! That buzzing sound you're hearing is the entire Beyhive going crazy thanks to their queen Beyoncé. The singer has been laying low on the music front since the release of Lemonade, with her only output being The Lion King companion album The Lion King: The Gift and the Oscar-nominated single "Be Alive" from King Richard. The singer is now breaking that hiatus with the announcement of her seventh studio album act i. RENAISSANCE, set to arrive on July 29th.

As all things Beyoncé tend to be these days, the announcement was done with little fanfare. The songstress changed her Instagram profile's bio to read the album's title and release date and the social media accounts of every major streamer followed suit by tweeting out their own announcements of the album's arrival.

So what can we expect from the upcoming set? Well, the singer is cryptic about that, too. In the cover story for the July issue of British Vogue (which was also a surprise, of course), she offers little in the way of direct quotes. However, writer Edward Enninful did get to take a listen to what's in store, which he described as "[s]oaring vocals and fierce beats" and [m]usic that makes you rise, that turns your mind to cultures and subcultures, to our people past and present, music that will unite so many on the dance floor, music that touches your soul."

Looks like we're in for a treat. You can currently pre-save the album via Beyoncé's website or, if you're feeling adventurous, pre-order one of four special collectible sets that feature a CD version of the album (including a 28-page booklet and mini-poster) along with a t-shirt and a specially decorated box for the low price of $39.99.
