Did Chante Moore Use Illegal Funds To Commit iTunes Fraud?
Chante Moore taking a page out of Joanne The Scammer's book? The "Love's Taken Over" singer may have ended 2017 on a positive note, dropping both a new studio album The Rise Of The Phoenix and Christmas album Christmas Back To You, but she's starting the new year on a sour one. She's being sued by two men who, according to The Blast, claim that the singer "knowingly [accepted] money that was fraudulently obtained by a criminal enterprise and using it to produce her latest album and artificially inflate her sales." Say what now? It goes deeper, though, with the men saying that Moore knew the money was funny and its use was “designed in whole or in part to conceal or disguise the nature, the location, the source, the ownership, and the control of the proceeds.” The men allege that they were defrauded to the tune of $3.6 million. To Chante's credit, she's denied the allegations and is pushing to get the case thrown out. #SayItAintSoChante
