Very few artists today can walk up to a mic without complaint and smash a song. Most would ask about rehearsal, mic checks and other primadonna rituals (oh hey, R&B Divas). Elle Varner is not one of them, however. At Toshi's Living Room in NYC, Elle recently got coaxed on stage (a true form of flattery) and offers to sing. With a provided acoustic guitar and some random silliness, Elle begins to play "Number One Song," a tune that could possibly be on her new record. The song is clean and showcases her singing and songwriting. Elle looks like a natural with no frills. After this impromptu performance, lets hope that we don't have to wait too much longer for the single and her new album.
