Rochelle Jordan Resurfaces With 'Got Em'

It seems like there always one question we have when it comes to indie R&B artist Rochelle Jordan: Where is she? It's been over six years since the songstress blessed us with her debut 1 0 2 1. In that time, she's only given us two singles -- "How U Want It" and "Fill Me In" -- leaving us wanting so much more. 2021 might be the year that we finally get a little more from RoJo as she's just dropped her new single "Got Em."

"Got Em" takes on the electronic sound that she's flirted with before on tracks like "How U Want It." This time, however, she and frequent collaborator KLSH lean harder into dance territory with a house-styled track that knocks. Despite taking her sweet time in releasing new music, Rochelle hasn't lost a beat either. She offers her usual dreamy vocals that complement the space-age production nicely. But it's near the end of the song, where the beat slows and the hand claps fade out, that she shows off a bit. Layered vocal harmonies marry with the slowed chords and rapid-fire hi-hats to make a truly special musical moment that tops things off.

We really hope the release of "Got Em" signals that we'll be seeing a lot more of Rochelle Jordan in the coming months. Give the track a spin below and then pick up your own copy of the track via Bandcamp.
