Have Some Blood Orange For 'Dinner'

Those luckiest among us in the northern hemisphere are experiencing some pretty decent springtime weather. (Others of us are still mired in that "April Showers" bulls--t.) Wherever your locale, there is nothing like a breezy, sexy '80s synth jam to remind you of the hot summer months to come. "Dinner" from Devonte Hynes' project Blood Orange conjures warm nights sipping iced drinks, skin glistening and sun-kissed, and flirting for hours. It owes more to an outfit like The Family than to Prince proper (which is to say it owes a lot to The Purple One, so whatever), but it's definitely all Minneapolis circa 1985. Nostalgia-wave at its most successful.
