After nearly two years of promotion, it‘s finally time for SiR to get Heavy. The set is due out next month, and it seems that the singer-songwriter is going into full rollout mode. He gave us the album’s last single “No Evil” at the end of last month, and he gives us yet another one with the release of the Isaiah Rashad-featuring “KARMA.”

“KARMA” is the rumination of a man concerned with the consequences of his reckless actions coming back to haunt him. The song’s heartfelt, poetic lyrics fit squarely in SiR’s pocket as he rides the Sigurd -produced beat.

“It’s time I slow this ’Llac down to a hunnid / I keep making the same mistakes when I should be learning from it,” he reflects on the chorus. “Aww, karma coming and it’s prolly gon’ be bad for me / Nothing I can do, it’s gon’ be what it has to be / Wish I never bought the game my uncle sold me / It’s a little too late to save the old me.”

Isaiah Rashad, meanwhile, adds a bit of the callous bravado that SiR hints at on the song’s second verse while also dropping a few introspective gems along the way. At one point, he rhymes, “If you suppress enough, the decimals can make you special, uh / If you press enough, the extra ones can make you stress it, uh / They want the extra love, the extra love, the extra love / Exiled in exodus, it’s excellent.”

“KARMA” also comes with an impressive cinematic video courtesy of director Loris Russier. The director presents us with stylized images of karmic retribution — including SiR caught in a brutal car crash, him performing with a literal knife dangling above him, a funeral and several other visually arresting images that pulse with the same regretful vibe of the song.

“KARMA” will find a home on Heavy when the album is released to the masses on Friday, March 22nd. Listen to the latest from SiR when you press play and then watch the grim-yet-alluring visual for the song below.
