Debórah Bond digs in the crates to cover a classic ’80s slow jam from The Jets for her latest single. The DMV-based artist rewinds the clock to 1986 to revisit the band’s sweet ballad “You Got It All” from the Wolfgramm siblings’ debut album The Jets.

Originally sung by Elizabeth Wolfgramm on lead vocals, Debórah’s rendition stays true to the original for the first half of the song. She starts to add more of her flavor to the track around the two-minute mark with her ad-libs and vocal flourishes. Produced by Nate Smith, Debórah’s “You Got It All” is just as romantic and beautiful and will trigger feelings of nostalgia.

“You Got It All” holds a special place in Bond’s heart. “This was the first song I ever performed in front of an audience acappella as a kid in the ’80s!” she shared on Instagram and Facebook when the song went live on streaming platforms.

This cover also marks another first for the songstress. “I’m pretty geeked over this cause I’ve never released a remake & this song reminds me of that little girl with all her dreams and how far I’ve come. This holiday, I’m so thankful for the journey.”

We’re thankful that Debórah Bond has taken us on her journey and provided such a lovely soundtrack along the way. There’s more music to come from Debo’s direction this holiday season. She’s dropping two Christmas songs at midnight tonight (Friday, December 8th) including a cover of Vince Guaraldi’s “Christmas Time Is Here,” which she contributed to our 12 Days Of SoulBounce Christmas series on Instagram in 2021.
