Kiana Ledé Sends Her 'Irresponsible' Man Back To The Streets

Kiana Ledé didn't let the pandemic slow her down one bit. She released her debut full-length album KIKI in 2020 (and its deluxe edition later that year) and collaborated with many artists during the past couple of years, including DESTIN CONRAD ("UNPREDICTABLE"), Kehlani ("Ur Best Friend"), D-Nice ("Rather Be") and Usher ("This Day"). Though she works very well with others, the singer is back on her solo grind with a new single entitled “Irresponsible,” where she's had enough disrespect from her man.

Kiana's relationship is on the outs on “Irresponsible.” She's looking at the front door while she lets her soon-to-be ex know how he has failed to protect her heart and tried to play her for a fool. Ledé is assisted by co-writers Cardiak (Carl McCormick), WU10 (Kelvin Wooten) and Nija to get her brokenhearted feelings across so eloquently.

The track starts with Kiana’s angelic voice singing a melody over an acoustic guitar. A drumbeat and synth are introduced halfway into the first verse while Kiana keeps it a buck on where things stand and makes it clear that it's time to swipe left on this relationship.

"You were someone I thought was careful with me / Instead you left me in pieces / If this ain’t where you wanted to be / You should’ve at least manned up and just let me be," she sings, dismayed by his wicked ways before sending him back to the streets where he belongs.

“Irresponsible” is the first sample of the new era from the multifaceted singer, songwriter and actress who's teased something big on the way in 2023. We don't have to wait that long for her next music move, though. A video for “Irresponsible” is in the can and set to premiere on Wednesday, September 21st on Kiana's YouTube channel. While we wait for the companion visual, listen to Kiana Ledé tell her boo that they're through below.
