Over the years, Babyface has proven time and again with his diamond pen that he knows how to write songs that understand the female point of view. He especially proved this with the chart-topping, award-winning Waiting To Exhale soundtrack in 1995. He's returning to that fertile ground with his upcoming album Girls Night Out, which finds him linking with some of the most recognizable ladies in the industry today. We've already gotten to sample the project with songs featuring Ella Mai and Kehlani. Now we get another with the set's latest single "Game Over" featuring songstress Queen Naija.

The track finds the artists playing lovers, with Naija playing the role of a woman who is fed up with the actions of her man. "You must got me f**ked up, n***a you must got me f**ked up / Can't believe you had me all up in my feelings thought you lucked up," she begins the song. "You thought you had a dumb one / Probably thought that I was not paying attention but I'm on to you."

The songstress makes a strong case for the dissolution of their romance, but she has her hesitations about leaving on the chorus, singing, "I don't wanna leave / But I gotta go / This is not for me / Yeah, you had a good run had your fun now I'm done / And the game is over."

Rather than play a man trying to hang on to love, Babyface steps onto the track to acquiesce, singing, "Don't wanna keep runnin in circles / I doesn't have to be this hurtful / I know you wanna leave but you can't go / Why you wanna spend tomorrow, wastin all your time in sorrow / I know wanna leave, so you should go."

"Game Over" is a drama-filled track for sure, but Babyface and Queen Naija make sure it goes down real easy with its smooth R&B sound. There's sure to be more where that came from on Girls Night Out, which will release on October 21st and feature a who's who of women joining the legendary singer-songwriter. Check out the album's colorful artwork and tracklist (which reveals the bevy of next-generation beauties joining him in song) after listening to "Game Over" below.
