Ravyn Lenae is making up for lost time, it seems. The songstress — who dropped from the public eye for a few years — returned last month with her Steve Lacy-assisted cut "Skin Tight" and reminded us why we fell in love with her in the first place. Now she's returned with yet another new single and video with her latest, "Light Me Up."

Romantic matters are once again on Ravyn's mind in the song. Whereas "Skin Tight" was more about fleeting moments, "Light Me Up" seems to be about the beginning of something more. Over production provided once again by constant collaborator Lacy, which includes a thudding kick drum, synths and guitar, the singer gives us directives on what she needs a potential lover to do to claim her for his own. "Light me up / Light me up (hold it down)," she sings feather soft on the chorus. "If you love me / Say it loud / If you love me / Say it proud."

The song's simple video focuses solely on Ravyn as she looks gorgeous with her signature crimson locks and a lacy pink-and-white outfit. She swings above a platform undulating with the imprint of hands and faces before eventually laying against the backdrop as the appendages search for her form. Things soon turn romantic, though, as we next see her laying among a room full of lit candles, her man's head lying in her lap. The scene changes once more as the singer gives us a white latex look topped by a headpiece that actually has lit candles atop it.

Ravyn Lenae is obviously leading up to a new release soon, but so far she's kept what she has coming under wraps. Until she's feeling chatty about her next project, stream both the song and its video right here.
