As fans wait with bated breath for the release of his upcoming album, esteemed producer/DJ Black Coffee offers a bit of relief with a second single. “Ready For You,” which features the soothing vocals of UK songstress Celeste, tells the tale of one finally surrendering to love. The warmth of the track draws the listener in and instantly holds you captive much like the intoxicating effect of infatuation. Though she’s tried to resist, Celeste admits to once being “lost and wandering” and finally concedes, declaring, “I need your voice to save me / I need the sun to kiss my skin / Wake up, no time to go backwards / I think I'm ready for you.”
This latest release follows the title track of the SBCNCSLY project, which dropped back in April and features singer/songwriter Sabrina Claudio. Though few details are available, word on the street is that the much-anticipated album also features star collaborations with the likes of multi-hyphenate megastar Pharrell Williams and GRAMMY Award-winning producer/DJ Diplo. Based on what we’ve heard thus far, and knowing his knack for craving his space in both pop and house music realms, we can be sure that the new album will pack a powerful and unpredictable punch. The South African selector has never let us down and we can’t wait to hear more.
