Susan Carol Hopes You Get What You Deserve In ‘Karma’

Susan Carol is living the dream. After years of grinding, the singer-songwriter won her first GRAMMY Award alongside PJ Morton for their sunny duet “Good Morning” earlier this year. The good news doesn’t end there for Big Su with the announcement of her recent signing to Def Jam Recordings. Now the soulful siren makes her major label debut with her spicy single “Karma.”

Ms. Carol has a few choice words and life lessons for an ex on “Karma.” She gets right to it, opening the song with its chorus. She sings, “I’ll let karma get you first / That’s just how it works / Hit you where it hurts / You get what you deserve.” Her sweet delivery and the track’s throwback soul sound belie the song’s message about karma eventually coming around to get its lick back.

“I hope people listen to ‘Karma’ and feel a sense of relatability, love and responsibility to always put out the energy you want to receive,” Susan said about the song via press release. “Treat people how you want to be treated. Love people the way you hope to be loved!” And that’s that on that!

Things are only going to continue going up from here for Susan Carol. “Karma” is the first listen from her forthcoming debut EP due out on Def Jam later this year. Before her EP’s release, she’s currently on a tour that runs through June. After you listen to Susan Carol’s “Karma” below, keep scrolling to view her remaining tour dates.
