Russell Simmons 'Pauses' #NotMe Campaign As 2 More Women Accuse Him Of Sexual Assault

It seems that Russell Simmons' time on the #MeToo Summer Jam screen still ain't over. The Def Jam founder announced this week that he would be pausing his #NotMe campaign — through which he was hoping to clear his name after being accused by multiple women of sexual assault and misconduct. "Mr. Simmons’ previous statements stand, and he has nothing to add to [them] at this time,” his rep told Page Six, adding that he felt it was "a time for women to speak." Meanwhile, two more women filed criminal complaints with the NYPD for rapes that they allege happened in 1983 and 1991, respectively. Russell, of course, denies the claims, telling TMZ, "I am devastated by any reason I may have given anyone to say or think of me in the ways that are currently being described. The presumption of innocent until proven guilty must not be replaced by 'Guilty by Accusation.'" This whole thing is just getting messier by the second. #Yikes
