A long time personal favorite of mine and beloved by Los Angeles music buffs alike, producer/musician/composer extraordinaire Anthony Valadez takes a break from his indispensable role as DJ at KCRW and gifts fans with a music video for "Good Lookin'," an excellent track from his new album, In Search Of.... Featuring singer Bird and clocking in just under three minutes, this track is a splendid little jam dedicated to making that special someone in your life feel appreciated. With sensual vocals backed by simple piano riffs, drums and a solid bassline, Valadez and Bird create a simplistic yet fluid sound reminiscent of those feelings pulsing through your body as you spend all day in bed with your lover on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
While the song is sexy on its own, the video for the track is just as titillating and intriguing. Directed by Roarkyd, we follow two lovely young ladies throughout their bright, spring-like day filled with friendly texts, lounging poolside and an unexpected ending.
