Singer, songwriter and Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kandi Burruss, recently partnered with the Bravo network again to premiere her Kandi Factory talent search special. The show found Kandi searching for the next Kim Zolciak-like one-hit wonder phenom. Kandi showcased her songwriting skills by penning a song for each of the contestants to perform on the finale. The only thing enjoyable about this 90-minute special was the debut of a song in which Kandi referenced as having a Mary J. Blige flare. Fast forward a few weeks and now we find Kandi and Fantasia in the studio re-recording said song, "Be Alright." We haven't seen much of Fantasia since the birth of her second child, Dallas Xavier Barrino, but we're so glad to see her getting back into the recording studio. Back To Me, was a solid comeback and garnered Fantasia her highest-selling and only GRAMMY Award-winning album thus far. A part of me is still waiting for another single from that album -- "Thrill Is Gone" with CeeLo Green left creative room for what could have been an interesting video -- but I know its time has passed. Although we are uncertain whether or not "Be Alright" will be featured on Fantasia's next album, we are definitely looking forward to new music and less drama from the American Idol alum.
