Jessie Ware took us to the dance floor last year when she dropped her album What's Your Pleasure? in June. Sadly, we didn't get to fully experience the album like we should have due to the world being shut down at the time of its release. You can't keep a good artist down, though, and Jessie is rising to the occasion of the world re-opening by readying a deluxe edition of the album she's re-dubbed What's Your Pleasure: The Platinum Pleasure Edition. With its release set for this Friday (June 11th), the British singer tickles our fancy with new single "Hot N Heavy."
Jessie is channeling disco and '80s dance music on the track, with rhythm guitar and hard-hitting drums leading the way. It's music that evokes the feeling of dancing up a sweat 'til the wee hours of the morning. Adding to that is the singer's breathy cooing as she sings about a connection she's made that's got her feeling the fever. "You get me hot n heavy / Something in your eyes / I'm willing and I'm ready / To set my heart on fire," she sings on the chorus. "You get me hot n heavy / You get me hot n heavy / You make me feel like oh-ha-ha-ha-ha."
We're definitely feeling the fire on this one. "Hot N Heavy" and previous single "Please" are among the eight new tracks that will be featured on The Platinum Pleasure Edition.
