We Won't 'Forget' Lianne La Havas

The latter half of 2011 saw British songbird Lianne La Havas gain some serious traction, both across the blogosphere and in the mainstream media, with the release of her Live In LA and Lost & Found EPs. It seems that Lianne is intent on maintaining that momentum into 2012 with the release of her third EP, Forget, and a full-length album in the works. The Forget EP was actually released back on December 30th and features a studio version of the song "Forget" (an acoustic version of which appeared on Live In LA), three new tracks, and a remix/rework of the title track. The EP is a solid affair, showcasing Lianne's soulful vocals and songwriting talent, but it's the "Forget" rework that steals the show, it's distorted vocals and moody, trip-hoppy feel bring to mind a female version of The Weeknd (minus the sex and drug references and by someone who can actually sing).
