Jesse Boykins III's Way of a Wayfarer EP continues to be just the fix we need while we wait patiently for the release of his next project, Love Apparatus. Each visual to accompany the eclectically soulful songs on Wayfarer have been more creative than the next, and Jesse's latest for "Zoner (Demo)" does not disappoint. In a beautiful blur of painted bodies and intimate close ups one gets the feeling of being inside a magical dreamscape or perhaps the inner workings of a zoned out mind. "Zoner" allows you to interpret the contrast between the visuals and lyrics. A song that speaks of hesitation to let the object of his affection see who he really is surrounded by visuals of people in their most vulnerable of states -- naked. We hear Jesse sing "She'll catch in my zone, she'll catch me in my dreams and that I can't condone because then she'll really know me" we then see him stripped down to essentially nothing. The video for "Zoner (Demo)" is a delightful compliment to what is quite simply a very lovely song.
