Move over, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. There’s a new certified freak in town, and her name is Keke Wyatt. The fertile songstress is delivering the risqué message and more on her new single “Certified” from her forthcoming album of the same name due later this month.
Wyatt penned “Certified” with Kissie Lee, Alphonso Crawford and Blac Elvis, who is also the track’s producer. The mother of 11 is fiending for some of that good good, and she is ready, willing and able to reciprocate on the slinky R&B number.
After being outside and getting tipsy off a little wine, KeKe lets her man know that it’s on and popping as soon as she gets home. “I hope that you ain’t scared to wet the bed up / We gon’ turn this to a slip and slide / Baby, I’m certified / Don’t be afraid to wake the kids up / I got this pillow here that I can bite,” she sings while turned up and to turn him on. And if those enticing lyrics don‘t work, she simply cuts to the chase on the chorus, singing, “I’m a freak / You know I’m a freak / Baby I’m a / You know that I’m certified.”
KeKe Wyatt is bringing the sexy like we’ve never heard her bring it before on “Certified” and showing her range beyond her vocals. Speaking of her killer vocals, though, they’ll be on full display on her new album Certified. The LP will be her sixth album overall, her first in seven years and her second release on Shanachie Entertainment. The 10-song project features nine original cuts, including the lead single “Water Into Wine” that she blessed fans with last August, and a cover of the classic standard “Unchained Melody.”
