Success has to be super sweet for Tinashe. The performer has her first Billboard Hot 100 smash in 10 years (and first-ever solo charter) with her viral hit “Nasty.” The track, which currently sits at an appropriate No. 69 on the chart, is near Song Of The Summer status and driving the people wild on TikTok, so it’s only right that Nasty Nashe capitalizes on the moment with her newly released Match My Freak remix EP.
The Match My Freak EP takes “Nasty” to new places thanks to remixes from some of the best in the game. First up is DJ Tunez, who aims to make us break a sweat on the dance floor with the club-ready tropical house vibes of the “Nasty (Match My Heat Remix).” The song is then taken even further into EDM territory as Wuki chops up the vocals and sets the song free over an industrial dance cut on “Nasty (Match My Peak Remix).”
UNIIQU3 then throws the track into ever-popular Jersey Club territory, complete with bed squeaks and the heavy thud of kick drums on “Nasty (Match My Speed Remix).” The song then gets glitchy with Jane Remover, who throws it in a blender along with squelchy synths, hi-hats and programmed drums for the “Nasty (Match My Tweak Remix).” Last, but certainly not least, are the legendary OG Ron C and DJ Candlestick, who take the song to Houston as they chop and screw it for the “Nasty (Match My Sleek) [ChopNotSlop] Remix.”
