Following the Valentine’s Day release of Keith Sweat’s latest single “Lay You Down,” the legendary artist keeps the newness coming with the recent premiere of the song’s music video.

Sweat enlists director G Visuals to do the honors. G Visuals captures green-screen footage of the crooner walking down an elaborate hallway and sitting on a throne while a fire rages behind him. While we watch Keith singing against these random computer-generated backgrounds, the director jumps back and forth between scenes of a group of five female dancers, two couples dancing and a diverse assortment of video vixens in solo situations.

Keith Sweat’s fanbase and radio have embraced “Lay You Down,” but the video hasn’t exactly caught on yet. Just shy of a month after its release, it’s garnered less than 50K views on YouTube thus far. With the lack of a plot or cohesive concept like Keith’s previous visuals for classics like “Something Just Ain’t Right,” “Merry Go Round” and “Twisted,” the video for “Lay You Down” unfortunately misses the mark.
