Tyla is still riding an unstoppable wave that’s taken her from South Africa to the world. The petite cutie added two more awards to her trophy case at the BET Awards 2024. She was the show’s first televised award winner, taking home the prize for Best International Act, then later beating out some stiff competition to win Best New Artist. She wasn’t just there to pick up her awards and bounce, however. Tyla made sure to make it “Jump” during an exciting performance of her latest hit single featuring Skillibeng and Gunna.

Like he does on the song, Skillibeng kicked the performance off. After the Jamaican dancehall artist spit his lyrics, Tyla took over. She was lowered down from the ceiling into a cage filled with dancers configured to look like a lounging tiger. She was eventually freed from the cage by the time the chorus rolled around and surrounded by more dancers on the stage. They all joined the songstress in the seductive choreography heavy on her South African roots.

Gunna then appeared for his verse, standing off to the side next to a life-size statue of an elephant. Not to be outdone, Skillibeng came back out with three stiltwalkers. A lot was happening on stage, but the cameraman made sure to focus the attention back on the pretty girl from Joburg. Tyla ended her performance with a crawl toward the camera before jumping to her feet to indulge the audience in some more of her hip-shaking, booty-popping bacardi moves.
