Eric Roberson’s song “Here For You” may be contemplative, but he decides to get creative with its music video. For his first visual of 2024, Erro doesn’t just link back up with his favorite director Steven Jon of Oh Yeah Cool, he spreads his wings and joins him to direct the piece.

For the “Here For You” clip, Eric and Steven chose to bring the song to life with animation. They utilize traditional and stop-motion animation techniques in the colorful vertical visual that also doubles as a lyric video.

A blank sheet of art paper taped to a desk becomes the canvas for a series of whimsical collages that an artist assembles. Roberson is seen throughout and is a part of the artwork himself. We see him surrounded by his lyrics popping up in assorted fonts against dreamy backgrounds that change at the speed of the artist’s imagination.

Erro has released a string of singles and videos over the past few months, but working on this particular project was very challenging. “The ‘Here For You’ video is a complete labor of love,” he wrote on Instagram. “It took a lot of time and effort to do, but was worth it. I hope you get a lift and a newfound appreciation for the song.”
