2019 is a milestone year for our girl Mya. The beautiful songstress and dancer will turn the big 4-0 this October and is still going strong on the music tip. Just last year, while celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut album, she got us in the mood with the release of T.K.O. Now, a year on from that project, Mya gives us one last visual for the album with the video for her track "Down."
Where her most recent video for "With You" was a desert-set romantic affair, "Down" gets tropical as Mya takes us to the lush shores of Indonesia. She picks up on the vibe of the country, adopting their style with beautiful looks and ornate headdresses and jewelry that has her and her equally beautiful dancers dripping in lavishness. And because this is a Mya video, rest assured that she is putting her dance skills to work here, too, incorporating some of the country's dances into her own routine as she pays tribute to the beautiful culture.
We're very sure that Mya will have something coming down the pike pretty soon, as she has proven that the indie label life has made her more prolific than ever. We're definitely anticipating where she'll take us next but we also don't mind this look into what she's already done up to this point.
