Vic Mensa Starts Non-Profit For Chicago Youth

Like fellow Chi-Town native Chance The Rapper, it looks like Vic Mensa also wants to give back to the youth of the Windy City. The rapper recently started his non-profit SaveMoneySaveLife. The organization will focus on two efforts: StreetMedics, "a program to train first responders in Chicago’s most dangerous neighborhoods, placing mental-health professionals in Chicago’s at-risk schools," and UniVerse, "an education program targeting indigenous and black youth via a summer mentorship program." The non-profit launched this week with a benefit gala that featured performances from Vic and fellow Chicagoan Jamila Woods. #VicGivesBack
