Do you know what you're doing next May? While it may seem a little early to ask your plans, if you're a Maxwell fan specifically or a fan of soul music in general, you probably already know the answer. That's because Maxwell has just announced his inaugural Maxwell + The 7 Seas Cruise. The seven-day cruise, set to take place May 3rd-10th of next year, will be hosted by and feature performances from the crooner as it makes stops in Port Canaveral, Florida and the island paradises of The Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Maarten.
As if seven days at sea with Maxwell isn't most of his fanbase's biggest fantasy, the singer has made the cruise even more irresistible with the addition of a few guests. And by "a few" we mean damn near everybody who's anybody in the soul scene. Joining Max will be Erykah Badu, Anthony Hamilton, Ledisi, Joe, Daley, Chrisette Michele, Leela James, Robert Glasper and Eric Roberson...and that's just a handful of the talent that's been scheduled. In addition, famed chef G. Garvin and comedian D.L. Hughley will also be on board to provide attendees with good food and big laughs.
