Willow Smith Takes It 'Easy Easy' On This Remake

Watching Willow Smith evolve as an artist is interesting to witness. For a girl who is just getting to her teen years, one would expect for her music to sound like the rest of the teeny bopper set's sugary pop records. Fortunately, Willow seems to be very in tune with the type of alternative music she aims to create. Check out her recent collaboration with Kitty Cash as an example.

Willow's latest song is an experimental cover of British singer King Krule's "Easy Easy." The original song definitely has a grungy alt-rock feel to it with a pulsating guitar. Smith's cover is not as grungy, but instead feels more acoustic. Her easy-going and smooth tone fits perfectly with the song. I was also taken aback with the maturity of her voice. It is evident that she's been working on her vocals and practicing on her range. For her to be so young and obviously talented, it will be a great treat to continue to witness her growth as an artist. Take a listen to her take on "Easy Easy" right here.
