UK-based producer Fwdslxsh (pronounced "Forward Slash") has delivered a little ray of sunshine in this overwhelmingly gloomy world. "Yellow," which is from Fwdslxsh's forthcoming project, The Fall, instantly takes the listener away to another place and paints the scenery a multitude of hues."Yellow" uses a sample of Goapele's debut single, "Closer," as its basis and builds a unique soundscape through intricately placed layers upon layers. All of these layers drive the track from sparse and atmospheric tones to electronic rhythms, chopped and screwed styling and back with an underlying touch of '80s quiet storm soul for good measure. With a Soulection collaboration with Tajan already giving Fwdslxsh momentum, "Yellow" looks set to push this newcomer further and get anticipation brewing over when exactly The Fall will drop in and brighten our lives.
