SZA & Travis Scott Tell Both Sides On 'Love Galore'

SZA is back with another release from her much-anticipated upcoming album, CTRL. On her new single “Love Galore” she partners with Houston rapper/singer/songwriter/producer Travis Scott to tell a tale of lingering love from two very different perspectives. It’s hard to tell who exactly is to blame for the fall, as both ask the question, “Why you bother me when you know you don’t want me?” The pair tell their sides of the story, both equal in despair and passion. The flame that remains between the two is evident in not only the lyrics, but in the accompanying visual as well. The Nabil-directed video shows SZA and Scott looking very cozy, while surrounded by butterflies. Things get steamy as they move into the bedroom, and she ties him to the bed post. However, things quickly turn from a romantic tryst to more of a classic scene from the movie Misery.  You know what they say, “Payback is a b***h.”

While the release date for SZA's upcoming album has not been officially made public, Top Dawg Entertainment assures fans it will arrive later this year, possibly the summer. CTRL follows SZA's 2014 EP Z and is described by TDE co-president Terrence "Punch" Henderson as a "phenomenal" project. He says, "Between her last album and this one, there's so much clarity in her vocals and her tone. It's much more deliberate than it was on Z. There was a lot of ambient, vibe-y, moody type sounding records. With this one, she's giving you her, with a level of clarity that you haven't heard from her yet." With the release of her previous single "Drew Barrymore," her aptly titled mini-documentary, WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN: road to CTRL and the current single, the tone has certainly been set. With all the rumors and false alarms, fans are chomping at the bit for more, and it doesn't sound like the new album will disappoint.

While we wait to see what's next, check out the new video for SZA's “Love Galore” featuring Travis Scott. Watch for the plot twist and decide for yourself whether it was an act of payback or just plain crazy.
