Chloe x Halle Give Us A Second Helping Of Their Talent With 'The Two Of Us'

Chloe and Halle Bailey, the precocious musical sister duo who performs under the name Chloe x Halle, has grabbed our attention since their days of recording awe-inducing cover songs for their many YouTube followers. They've since gained an even bigger following after being signed by Beyoncé's Parkwood Entertainment and dropping their debut EP Sugar Symphony with lead single "Drop." But the girls were just getting started and they continue to show us just how talented they truly are by dropping their latest project, The Two of Us.

Presented as a 25-minute stream, the ladies want to make sure that the project isn't mislabeled. On their website, they make sure to correct any assumptions. "This is NOT an album," they write. "Not really a mixtape either." Whatever they wanna call it, what it is is damn interesting. The duo's sound, best described as Beyoncé meets Les Nubians meets St. Beauty, is on full display on the non-mixtape. They weave tales of boys, love, empowerment and whatever else comes to their minds over production that teeters between soul, folk and hip-hop-tinged modern R&B. Chloe x Halle do this with a skill and aplomb that belies their youth.

Whatever you choose to call The Two of Us, one thing you'll definitely be calling it is fantastic. Stream it in its entirety right here.
