We can safely assume that a number of us wouldn't mind finding Tank under our Christmas trees this year. Well, 'tis the season, since the crooner just announced he's working on a Christmas EP. On Thanksgiving, the R&B General dropped a mid-tempo loosie, "Thankful For U," to get you in the spirit, and it stays true to his signature sound, showcasing his love of piano and harmony. "Thankful for you / For all my family and friends I'm / Thankful for you / For the time we get to spend I'm / Thankful for you / Wish it didn't have to end cause I'm / Thankful for you / Oh I'm / Thankful for you," he sings on the chorus.
He also gives a shout-out to his mom on the track — not for cooking beans, greens, potatoes or tomatoes but deviled eggs, banana pudding (which you can see on his Facebook page), turkey legs, collard greens and cornbread. Tank also sang the announcement about his upcoming Christmas EP to fans on Facebook, which we're sure will feature all kinds of falsetto and smooth runs based on the 30-second video.
There's no word on the release date, but we can't wait to hear what Tank cooks up as he sings us into the holidays.
