Maxwell & Mary J. Blige To Spread R&B Love On 'King + Queen Of Hearts World Tour'

It's hard to imagine two artists more successful in the world of R&B than Maxwell and Mary J. Blige. Mary, otherwise known as the Queen of Hip Hop Soul, has been thrilling us for nearly a quarter century with street-edged harmonies and sultry love songs that keep it real and keep us wanting more. Maxwell, too, has kept his career going strong for more than two decades with sensitive ballads and masterful songwriting that leaves us waiting with bated breath for whatever he brings us next. So it was only a matter of time before the two New York-born powerhouses joined forces, and they will starting this November for their joint King + Queen Of Hearts World Tour.

Kicking off at Baltimore's Royal Farms Arena, the tour will see the R&B royalty crisscross North America as they play major cities like Philadelphia, New York, DC, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, New Orleans and Los Angeles before they wrap things up on December 5th at Chicago's United Center. In addition to the North American dates, the duo will also play a select few European dates next month in advance of the tour, so European Bouncers should be on the lookout.

Of his tourmate, Maxwell said, "Mary is the epitome of soul. She embodies all that is woman and speaks for the everyday struggle and triumphs of all women. I can’t wait to get on the road with her."

Mary also gushed about Maxwell, saying, "Maxwell’s music is amazingly soulful and calm with a colorful tone that speaks to the hearts of women. His music makes them feel loved and I’m excited to get on the road with him."

Tickets for what's sure to be one the tours of 2016 will go on sale starting this Friday (September 9th) at 10 a.m. ET. Maxwell will join Mary during an appearance on The View on Friday as well.
