New music from YahZarah has been a long time coming, but the good news is that it will be coming soon. YahZarah will release Body Aquatic, her long-awaited follow up to 2010's The Ballad of Purple St. James, in the coming months and she's as ready for fans to have as we are to receive it. This project has been in the works for a while, but YahZarah's real life took precedence, with the birth of her son, relocation to New York City and traveling the world singing background vocals for Lenny Kravitz filling her to do list. How does she do it all? Well, she's a warrior who chooses to not only survive but to thrive.

Knowing her passion and strength, YahZarah was the perfect choice to be SoulBounce's Celebrity Selector for Women's History Month. Every superheroine needs a soundtrack, and that's where YahZarah's Wonder Woman playlist comes into play.

I made this playlist with two things in mind. It is designed specifically for the woman in need of a playlist to blast off into the day to help her find and activate her can-do energy and the latter part of the list is to assist her in her meditative space in the evening. There are a range of musical styles present because of my many music layers and presents a bit of everything that inspires me and gets me going.

Ladies, this playlist may be inspired by and created for you, but gents can listen, too, and enjoy YahZarah's eclectic mix of genres, tempos and topics. On this Wonder Woman playlist you'll find a cross section of artists from Alabama Shakes to Santigold, Anderson .Paak to Buika and, of course, selections by YahZarah herself.  The tunes on Wonder Woman provide some insight into what music moves and motivates YahZarah, and we're motivated to straighten our crowns, put on our capes and soar after listening.
