Tamar Braxton Does The Rumba Into Our Hearts On 'Dancing With The Stars'

Tamar-Val-DWTS-Memorable-Year

Grab your tissues and brace yourself. On last night's Dancing With the Stars, the contestants relived their most memorable years. Our dancing diva Tamar Braxton got candid with DWTS viewers, choosing 2012 as her most memorable since she almost lost her husband Vincent Herbert to a serious medical issue. The outcome, however, was Vince pulling through after 40 days in the hospital and their decision to have a baby. Tamar and partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy danced to the single "King," from her new album Calling All Lovers. The songstress said it exemplified the love and appreciation she has for her husband and son, and she showed it with an emotional and sentimental Rumba. Tamar and Val glided across the floor while dancing to the R&B ballad and every move had graceful precision.

While the judges and her dance partner complained last week that there was a disconnect, this week Tamar connected with her personal story and the emotion showed during her performance. The best part of the dance also came at the end, when they revealed the piano player in the background was husband Vince. Successfully merging her reality show fame with her equally successful music career, dancing to her own track was a great move and the DWTS audience, who stayed on their feet, loved it. While we wait to see what her next dance and career steps may be, watch Tamar and DWTS partner Val do the Rumba right here, and let us know if you can make it through with dry eyes.
